‘Disguise’ is a common word; ‘guise’ is not. And the meanings overlap- to go about in the guise of something you are not is to disguise your nature. As a result, the dubiously grammatical phrase ‘in disguise of’ gets a lot of use; about 30,000 ghits. Examples:
