The Cutty Sark was the most famous of the “tea clippers”. It was also a lovely teak clipper. I initially thought that “teak clipper” might be an eggcorn for tea clipper. Subsequent research revealed multiple references to “teak-built brigs” from the mid-19th century, so that “teak clipper” is genuine in its own right.
