A loin cloth—being a primative piece of clothing—surely must be made from whatever material is available, say, a lion skin. Whence the eggcorn “lion cloth.” (There was a post for lion/loin before in the forum, but the imagery was different, and not all that convincing):

Good one.
Wild, unconstrained loins be deadly, hence the need for lion cloths.
Take our loins and elephants for example, every fall they migrate to the south where it is warmer and then each spring they return….
For behind him is the patriarch, the male, the protector and from the way the two loins were circling, William is obviously trespassing.
However, before Hank can knock another arrow the loin patriarch charges him.
The loin jumps to its feet and charges again.
In instinct Hank puts his bow in front of his face, as the loin pounces on him. The loin lunges for Hank’s face, but Hank crams the bow between the lions massive jaws trying to use it as a barrier.
Hank cries to William for help as the loin claws at his chest, tearing his shirt to ribbons revealing the glistening chain mail beneath.
Finally Hank throws the loin from atop him. It skids on the ground rolling to its feet. Quickly Hank picks up his sword and when the loin pounces again Hank fell to the ground and braces his sword between his body and the earth.
The blade pierces the animal’s torso, causing the beast to spasm briefly before sliding down it and falling limply over Hank, slowly bleeding to death.
“I am so sorry.” “I didn’t want to but you left me no choice.” He whispers softly in the loin’s ear. The loin groans, almost as if it understands him. “I wish it hadn’t ended like this.” Hank sobs as he rolls the body from atop him. He runs his hand through the loin’s mane twice while he gathers and collects himself.
