Also mentioned before, but a good one:
As Christmas rapidly approaches I pray that you and your family will once again be wrapped in awe and wonder
Which would not be a bad thing to wish you all in your huntings.

By the way, “egg knock” is a classic eggcorn that almost made my best of the year list. Maybe due to influence of same at the time.

As one of the few likely to be shovelling snow today, I must put in a vote for one of the priceless mondegreens in Juan’s link:
In the meadow we can build a snowman,
Then pretend that he is parched and brown.
“You said the cattle are lowering and it’s the cattle are lowing.”
“No it’s not.”
“Yes, it is.”
(Back and forth like that, about five more times until I couldn’t suppress my laughter).
He explained the cattle were lowering themselves down and I questioned how cows laying down could possibly wake up a baby.
What do I do if my cat ate christmas tensile? I had found some poop on the floor this morning and it had a lot of tensile in it.
If you have only a very simple loop and are having troubles, carefully check to make sure there’s nothing touching the track. Think UNDER the track also. (Is there a piece of Christmas tensile under there?)

Some of the things you may want to use are glitter paints, glue and glitter, Christmas tensile, crayons, markers, and regular craft paint.

Lots of people pronounce this “tensil” (plenty of ghits), and if they write that a spell-checker would easily correct it to tensile . The tensile strength of the stuff is probably not in the mind of one out of a thousand: and that one is probably punning.
*If the human mind were simple enough for us to understand,
we would be too simple-minded to understand it* .
“Tensile” for “tinsel” seems plausible to me. One of the common meanings of “tensile” is “able to be stretched” (All of the these buildings with stretched fabric components—football stadiums, plazas, etc.—are “tensile fabric constructions.”). Tree tinsel is certainly stretchy. And tinsel was, in the pre-plastic era, metallic, which may connect it up to the related sense of “tensile” that we associate with tensioned metals.
