When you regurgitate, the contents of your stomach rise into your gorge (throat, gullet). The words “regurgitate†and “gorge†do not share an etymology. They do, however, share the occasional word: scores of web sites use “regorgitate†in place of “regurgitate.†Three examples:
Student bulletin board: “”here students, today we’ll be watching a fat guy shove propaganda down your throat, and for homework you can regorgitate that bull shit to the president, because he reads hate mail!”â€
College professor rating site: “Not sure why she is an accounting professor when all she does is regorgitate /read off the powerpoint slides.â€
Comment on BBC site: “I bet its all the TV fans fed with the trash from biased commentators that regorgitate that dribble.â€
