You’re not outright banned, you’re only bannedished. This is a wonderful head shaker. Bandished is something else again, with its superstitious d-insertion. It turns out that the mechanism is not new. Bandit developed spontaneously likewise from the same root as ban and banish.
How superstitious can you get? Can you excrete an l and a d at the same time? Of course you can.

But the real reason I’m posting is to suggest that vanish can be an eggcornical substitution for banish. There are dozens of instances of this form.
