resume << exhume

News article on Mob Wives Chicago cast member Nora Schweihs exhuming the body of her father “I will resume the body,” she says outside the gates of the cemetery, apparently meaning exhume.

Good find. There are a number of examples of this exhume/resume substitution on the web. A selection:

Web fiction: “ Once they got their papers in order, they would be able to resume the body and show the world that Harold J. Dunstan was indeed dead.”

User comment on a TV show: “ Now they discovered he has an uncle in florida and now to know if he is going to resume the body or leave it.”

Blog about movies: “Megan has to go to her Mother, Judge Joan Hunt played by Joanna Cassidy, to get permission to resume the body of the dead girl. ”

An exhumed body does resume a role that it lost through inturnment.
