I stumbled upon this one obambulating. It doesn’t make much sense. Could it derive from a reading of “drives” with a letter missing: It dries me up the wall?
I love the results converting RAW but the delay times are just drying me up the wall.

Pureists sometimes dry me up a wall. “No, no, don’t change a thing on my little toy”.

I like cleaning in general, because I feel overwhelmed when the house is dirty, but the dishes dry me up the wall.

I cut out the labels first thing as they always dry me up the wall, I find them so itchy.

The first one with the delay times may have some convolution with “watching paint dry”? Otherwise, no idea.

But somehow thinking about drying up the wall set me to checking out another idiom:
Classic Thor would mock the floor with Cell. Classic Thor is much stronger then cell.
Certainly the idiom “mop the floor with” involves insult or taunting, which can perhaps translate to mockery. Perhaps this also says something about those who spend a lot of time commenting on the internet having more familiarity with mockery than with basic housecleaning?
