When we disparage another person, we employ a word that once described unequal, cross-class marriages. “Disparage†is literally “dis-peer-age.†The connubial aspect has been largely forgotten, however. The modern meaning of the term is to degrade/slight/vilify/discredit.
If you disparage someone too much, you might cause the person to despair:
Customer review: “I am not out to despairage any of HP printersâ€
User reply to news article: “Why are you attempting to despairage him with that? â€
Sport forum post: “I am well within my rights to despairage the product when it doesn’t workâ€

You might also despairage something because you have come to despair of its ever functioning as you want it to.
