I stumbled on this one while researching the Abu Grave eggcorn (isn’t it nice when that happens?). The meaning connection could be an image of a scimitar-wielding Arab, but since most or all of the examples I found were from right-wing-sounding blogs, I can’t tell if this is, in some cases anyway, an actual eggcorn, or just a sort of snarky joke nickname for the country. Anyway, some examples:
The right to convert from islam to Christianity, to carry a Bible into Swordi Arabia, and things that normal people take for granted in the West.

I agree with kem that these are unlikely to be inadvertent. In some rhotic dialects (where aw is regularly pronounced or ) it would only be a spelling shift, but even so is almost certainly done purposefully.
It is not irrelevant that the Saudi Arabian flag features a particularly sword-like scimitar.
