Various ways to insert “bomb†into vomiting. A deep metaphor—compare “projectile vomiting.â€
FB post: “Dealing with a sick kid who just vombed all over her room….ugh.â€
Picture caption: “He looks abit happy now hes vombed all over me..â€
UK forum comment: “Think I just vombed a littleâ€
Web fiction: “I vombited and then fainted again.â€
Online sports board: “I will not comment further, or I may vombit.â€
FB comment: “i feel like i Will vombit â€
FB comment: “I was sick a while back with headaches, nose bleeds and vombiting for 2-3 weeks.â€
Gives a whole new meaning to “carpet bombing.”

Odd one, surprisingly common. I was disappointed not to find any exx. of vombed it (all over the carpet) .

Just noticed the ordering vomit << vombit , backwards from what is customary on this site at least. (I.e. we would usually list vombit << vomit or perhaps vomit >> vombit .) Yet somehow this one seems iconic: the acorn spews forth << the eggcorn. Ya think?

This is not the only time I have made this mistake. And subject lines in this Forum can’t be edited.
