“Andrew (yet another one)” over on Language Log, June 19, 2012 @ 8:13 am stumbled upon a select eggcorn that deserves recognition here: cut to the choice. It’s used to mean “get to the meat of it”, “get to the point”, and sometimes “get to the best part”. Like cut to the chase.
We get through the meandering sooner and cut to the choice a lot faster than we previously have.
